At The Odette School of Ballet we offer Adult Ballet classes that strive to create a fun, welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. Many of our students are returning to ballet after some time off and others have danced consistently for years - with this big range of experience in the class, we are all there to dance, enjoy movement and progress in our own way. 

Dancing is a great way to exercise in an enjoyable way! Adult Ballet is a place where people can get lost in the music and the moment.

All teachers are registered ballet teachers with the Royal Academy of Dance. We provide high-level of ballet training that is suitable to each individual dancer. Students will get the opportunity to develop classical ballet technique, increase strength and flexibility, build control and coordination, and increase their musicality and performance skills.

ADULT BALLET TIMETABLE AT THE ODETTE SCHOOL OF BALLET

  • Experienced Class: Wednesday 7-8pm in the Baldoyle Community Hall (10-week term)
  • Beginners Class: Friday 6-7pm in the Baldoyle Racecourse Community Centre (drop-in)
  • Experienced Class: Friday 7-8.30pm in the Baldoyle Racecourse Community Centre (drop-in)

Our Adult Ballet class are held 3 times per week with a mix of beginners ballet and classes suited to those with experience in ballet. The Wednesday evening classes are run on a 10-class term basis and the Friday evening classes are a drop-in adult ballet class.

Students over the age of 18 are welcome - please expect to jump and pirouette in our adult ballet classes!

We also offer Silver Swans ballet classes for those over the age of 55 - more details about our Silver Swans classes can be found here.

Wednesday evening Adult Ballet classes:

The 2025/2026 Adult Ballet school year runs from the 15th of September to the 31st of May.

There are three 10-class terms in the school year.

  • Term 1: Begins on the 15th of September and ends on the 30th of November
  • Term 2: Begins on the 1st of December and ends on the 8th of March
  • Term 3: Begins on the 9th of March and ends on the 31st of May

There are no classes on the following dates:

  • Autumn mid-term: 27th of October to 2nd of November (one week)
  • Winter holidays: 15th of December to 4th of January (three weeks)
  • Spring mid-term: 16th of February to 22nd of February (one week)
  • Easter mid-term: 30th of March to 12th of April (two weeks)

The 10-class term costs €115

Friday evening Adult Ballet classes:

  • Term 1: 9th of January to 13th of February
  • Term 2: 20th of February to 27th of March
  • Term 3: 17th of April to 22nd of May
  • Term 4: 29th of May to 3rd of July

Beginners drop-in ballet class (60 minutes) - €15/class or €80/term

Experienced drop-in adult ballet class (90 minutes) - €19/class or €100/term
